Oman- FCA brands shine at Dubai International Motor Show

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) brands, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, RAM, Mopar, Alfa Romeo and Fiat, all of which are represented in Oman by Dhofar Automotive, participated in the recent Dubai International Motor Show.

Each of these brands enthralled visitors to the show with an impressive showcase of some of their very best vehicles, several of which made their official debut for the region at the show.

Commenting on the brands' participation in the Motor Show, Rhett Maxwell, GM of Dhofar Automotive, said, 'The Dubai International Motor Show is the premier motor show in the region attracting thousands of visitors from all around the world. The vehicles showcased at the shoe represent the very best in innovation, performance and technology that every brand has to offer and provides us with a glimpse of what to expect from them over the course of the year in the region. The same is true for every single one of the FAC brands and the vehicles they showcased at the show, right from the entry level Neon, Giulietta, and Fiat 500 Anniversario, to the mighty 707hp Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody.'

The Chrysler brand has delighted customers with distinctive designs, craftsmanship, intuitive innovation and technology all at an extraordinary value since the company was founded in 1925. These values have been the basis for the success of the brand in the Middle East. Beyond just exceptionally designed vehicles, the Chrysler brand has incorporated advanced technology, safety and security and thoughtful functional features into all of its products, such as award-winning powertrains, segment-first nine-speed automatic transmissions and Fuel Saver Technology, which delivers enhanced driving economy. Each of these features were on full display at the Motor Show, where the brand launched the all-new Chrysler Pacifica and the latest generation 300S.

The success of the Dodge range across the Middle East continues, thanks in particular to the enduring popularity of the Charger and Challenger models, whose appeal continues to attract new buyers to the brand. In response to customer demand, more variants and special editions of these legendary muscle cars are being made available in the region. A full line-up of the latest Dodge vehicles was on display at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show, from the entry level Neon sedan to the latest all-new Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody and Durango SRT models.

The Middle East was also one of the key markets selected to spearhead the Ram brand's expansion outside North America, where it has achieved significant success since becoming a stand-alone brand in 2009. In line with this, the Ram brand portfolio available in the Middle East has grown significantly in response to customer demand, with the full range now available in showrooms. Visitors to the Motor Show were treated to a full line up of Ram trucks, including the 1500 Rebel, 1500 Sport Mopar Edition, 1500 SLT Regular Cab, 2500 Power Wagon, 1200 Double Cab 4x2 and 1200 SLT Double Cab 4x4.

The Jeep brand showcased three major new models plus two special editions at the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show. The Jeep Grand Cherokee took the spotlight, however, with two premières for the EMEA region; the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, the most powerful and quickest SUV ever, and the Grand Cherokee 25th Anniversary Limited Edition, a celebration of the model that has defined the premium SUV market since its launch in 1992.

The Alfa Romeo brand however is one of the undisputed stars of the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show, displaying the cars that best personify the brand's new standards - exquisite expressions of 'engineering for the emotions' and Alfa Romeo's sporty DNA. These included the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Super, Stelvio Quadrifoglio, Giulia Quadrifoglio, 4C Coupé and a Giulietta Veloce.

The iconic style and design of the Fiat 500 family was yet another centrepiece of the 2017 Dubai International Motor Show. As part of the celebrations for the Fiat 500's 60th anniversary, visitors to the show were able to experience a special series, designed especially for the occasion alongside the Fiat 500X compact crossover.

Mopar, the global source for genuine parts, accessories and after-sales service for all FCA vehicle brands, also showcased three customised vehicles on its stand: Jeep Wrangler, RAM 1500 and Dodge Challenger. Visitors to the show also had the opportunity to admire three special models on the Alfa Romeo stand: Stelvio Super SUV, Giulia Quadrifoglio and Giulietta Veloce, plus Mopar's special Wrangler Rubicon Recon on the Jeep stand.

'Each of the new models will make a great addition to our vehicle line-up when they arrive here in Oman and we look forward to offering them to our customers,' added Maxwell.
