Pakistan- SHO suspended over aerial firing in Peshawar


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 12 December: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Peshawar Tahir Khan has suspended the station house officer (SHO) of Gulberg Police Station over aerial firing.

Police said a music programme was underway during the National Youth Carnival when SHO Ammad Khan started aerial firing with his Kalashnikov which created panic among the people. The CCP took notice of the incident immediately after the video of aerial firing by the SHO went viral on the social media and suspended him.

The CCPO said no one is above the law and laws apply equally on the citizens and policemen.
