(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Personal Representative of His Highness the Emir, met FIFA President Gianni Infantino and the President of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), Aleksander Ceferin, on the sidelines of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia draw ceremony which was held at the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow yesterday. During the two meetings, they reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest, especially Qatar's preparations to host the 2022 World Cup. The meetings were attended by HE Qatar Olympic Committee President Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani and a number of senior officials. His Highness Sheikh Jassim attended the 2018 FIFA World Cup draw ceremony at the invitation of FIFA President Infantino, and in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The draw was attended by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani and a number of senior officials and personalities of the FIFA and associations, football stars, media and guests of the event.
