(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Gulf crisis has opened new avenues for business, especially for young entrepreneurs, 26-year-old Hasham Abbasi told Qatar Urdu Radio show Haqeeqat yesterday. 'My two companies, which include a training centre as well as a cargo and shipping business, have benefited from the siege in terms of an increase in clients, Abbasi, who established his first business at the age of 19, explained.
If Doha-based companies used to send employees for various kinds of training to Dubai prior to the siege they have started approaching local training institutes now, he pointed out.
Haqeeqat, which aims to engage and interact with the large South Asian expatriate community in Qatar, is a joint venture of Gulf Times and Qatar Media Corporation Urdu Radio. It is broadcast from Sunday to Thursday on FM107. The show is hosted by Saif-ur-Rehman.
