(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The Steering Committee of the Manufacturing Sector in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) on Wednesday held its regular meeting to review the latest initiatives of the National Program for Enhancing Economic Diversification (Tanfeedh) in the sector.
The meeting was chaired by H E Dr Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry.
The meeting reviewed the stages of implementation of several initiatives, including the plant of the Waterproofing Membrane. The meeting discussed the developments of implementation of a number of projects in Duqm.
The meeting agreed to provide financial support for the establishment of an advanced research centre for manufacturing industries, the establishment of a factory to design and manufacture metal cutting tools and moulds in cooperation with Sohar University, and the development of food security projects in the dairy and meat sectors.
