MoT Ooredoo sign pact to share knowledge expertise

The Ministry of Tourism (MoT) and Ooredoo on Wednesday signed a pact for sharing of knowledge and expertise on the managerial and technical side.

The pact was signed by H E Maitha bint Saif al Mahrouqi Undersecretary MoT and Greg Young CEO Ooredoo Oman. As part of the agreement the two organisations will work together on various events providing ground support as and when required and leverage each other's strength in enhancing experience and making the event more attractive to the target audience.

H E Maitha said 'We are always working to improve the quality of services provided in the tourism sector. This is why we have partnered with one of the leading telecom companies Ooredoo through this agreement. We would continue to partner with more organisations and work together to develop the tourism sector.'

The two parties will work towards increasing the attendance at workshops conferences and events of either party through shared contacts and invitations. Organising training sessions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism sector will also be undertaken. H E Maitha added 'We would enhance the skills of employees working with SMEs in the tourism industry.'
