(MENAFN- QNA) King Abdullah II of Jordan met here today with French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius who is currently visiting Amman.
During the meeting they discussed relations between the two countries and reviewed the current regional developments foremost of which being efforts aimed at fighting terrorism.
Regarding peace efforts in the region, the Jordanian monarch underlined the need for intensive work by all effective parties including France to prepare the appropriate circumstances for the revival of the peace process between the Palestinian and Israeli parties on the basis of the two-state solution and the international legality resolutions.
For his part, the French minister expressed his country's keenness to enhance relations between the two countries and to continue coordination on various current issues.
