Germany to showcase cutting-edge technology

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Around 70 German companies will participate in the upcoming 12th edition of Project Qatar, the German embassy in Doha has announced.

The participation will feature a wide range of German expertise, state-of-the-art technology and high-quality solutions for the construction business, according to a statement.

Numerous companies have been participating for many years in a row since the launch of Project Qatar in 2004.

Project Qatar 2015 will be held from tomorrow at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC). The German pavilion, brand-named "Made in Germany", is being organised and supported by the German government.

Project Qatar is the only exhibition in Qatar officially integrated into Germany's international trade fairs and exhibition programme.

The German pavilion will be located in the main hall of the QNCC exhibition area featuring one of the largest exhibiting spaces.

The German Commerce and Industry Office (AHK) will be present at the German pavilion with a booth to provide information to visitors.

A vast majority of companies participating in Project Qatar are small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The statement notes that SMEs are the backbone

of the German economy. The so-called "German Mittelstand" is highly innovative and invests millions of euros in research and development. It serves as the key engine of growth and employment.

Thanks to SMEs, Germany maintains a strong position in the international market, the statement adds.
