Kuwait - Policeman stabbed


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Hawalli police have arrested a young Kuwaiti for attempting to escape from police and attacking a policeman with a dagger, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources the suspect, who is 28 years old, was driving a pickup truck in Nugra. When police ordered him to pull over for routine check, he stepped on the gas and in a vain attempt to escape, crashed into police vehicles and drove off. However, he was chased and forced to stop near Al-Messilah Bridge. The suspect then pulled out a dagger and stabbed the policeman in an attempt to escape. The suspect, who is an ex-criminal, was wanted by law in connection with a financial fraud worth KD 6,00
