India- Jet Airways to place order for 110 Airbus, Boeing aircraft

(MENAFN) Australia's consultancy firm CAPA Centre for Aviation said that India's Jet Airways is projected to place an order for nearly 110 new aircraft, reported Arabian Business. CAPA said that the carrier, which sold a 24-percent stake for USD379 million to Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways in April, will purchase 50 737MAX and nearly 10 777-300ER from Boeing, in addition to 50 A320neos from Airbus. India's largest listed airline would use the investment it received from Etihad to order the planes in Paris Air Show that would take place in June. It is worth noting that Etihad's investment in Jet Airways was the first by a foreign operator in an existing Indian airline.
