Jordan- Gammoh describes current low share prices at Amman bourse as tempting

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) The current low share prices at Amman bourse should be tempting for investors, Industry and Trade Minister Sami Gammoh said Sunday. At a meeting with representatives of financial services companies, the minister said the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) is currently promising for investors who want to generate "good" revenues, adding that the stock market is recovering from the repercussions that negatively affected its performance, particularly the global financial crisis. According to a ministry statement, Gammoh said the government is working to boost confidence in the market and encourage investors to buy shares, stressing that economic conditions in the Kingdom are improving. The team suggested a number of recommendations to boost ASE including launching a media campaign to encourage investments in the bourse, revisiting the legislation governing companies and addressing the issue of financially troubled companies listed at ASE, according to the statement.
