Syrskyi Discusses Frontline Situation, Air Defense Needs With Inspector General Of Bundeswehr Breuer

"I held a telephone conversation with the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, General Carsten Breuer. I briefed my German colleague on the current situation in the areas of active hostilities. We discussed the increased activity of Russian occupation forces, as well as the successes of our offensive grouping and the significant losses inflicted on the enemy," he said.

According to the Commander-in-Chief, the sides also exchanged views on the further development of the situation on the front line.

"Separately, I informed General Breuer about changes in the tactics of air strikes carried out by the Russian armed forces against our critical infrastructure and civilian population centres. We discussed the current priorities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular the further strengthening of air defence capabilities," Syrskyi added.

He emphasized that Ukraine highly appreciates the practical support of the Bundeswehr within existing coalitions and training programs.

"I expressed my gratitude to the Government of Germany and the people of Germany for their substantial assistance, which enables us to defend our country during the most difficult period in its history. I was assured of the continued support. This is important both for the national interests of our countries and for European security," the Commander-in-Chief stressed.

As Ukrinform reported, the Russian army is trying to intensify its assault activity on the front.
