Kuwait FM Echoes Condemnation Of Iran Attacks


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 1 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah reiterated Kuwait's condemnation of the heinous Iranian attacks that targeted the country during the past two days.
Sheikh Jarrah made the remarks while addressing the 50th extraordinary videoconference meeting of GCC foreign ministers, stressing his country's commitment to its right to defend itself pursuant to Article 51 of the UN Charter and to take all necessary and legitimate measures that align with the nature and scale of this aggression, according to a Foreign Ministry release.
The minister echoed Kuwait's condemnation of the heinous Iranian attacks that targeted the country during the past two days, billing them a flagrant breach of the State of Kuwait's sovereignty and airspace, and a blatant violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and the UN Charter.
He further underlined his country's commitment to the right to defend itself as per Article 51 of the UN Charter and to take all necessary and legitimate measures against this aggression in a way that safeguards its sovereignty and territory and the security of its citizens and residents.
In this regard, the Kuwaiti minister thanked all sisterly and friendly countries which have stood by the State of Kuwait against this atrocious Iranian aggression, while stressing the security of all GCC countries. (end)
