Microsoft Promotes Ben Lampe To Global Communications GM
(MENAFN- PRovoke)
SEATTLE - Microsoft has promoted longtime communications leader Ben Lampe to general manager of global communications.
In the role, Lampe will oversee Microsoft's communications across all markets globally outside the US. He reports to global chief communications officer Frank X. Shaw.
Lampe has more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector, including more than a decade within Microsoft's communications organization. He previously led communications in EMEA and most recently ran the company's Americas and global campaigns team.
Lampe relocated from Munich to Redmond last year, a move Microsoft said was part of long-term succession planning.
He succeeds Doug Dawson, who is moving into a new role leading cloud and AI communications.
The leadership changes come as another senior Microsoft communications leader, Steve Clayton, left the company in December after nearly three decades to become chief communications officer at Cisco. Clayton spent more than 28 years at Microsoft in a variety of communications and storytelling roles, most recently as vice president of communications strategy and chief storyteller.
