J&K Ignites With Youth Power As Sewa Parv Fuses Sports & Social Awareness

Srinagar – The mascot for the 3rd Junior Asian Pencak Silat championship was officially unveiled in Srinagar on Thursday, setting the stage for one of Asia's most exciting martial arts events.

The championship will be held from September 25 to 30, bringing together young athletes from across 11 countries.

The unveiling ceremony was presided over by Secretary, J&K Sports Council, Nuzhat Gul, who also released the trophies for the upcoming tournament. Chief Sports Officer, Divisional Sports Officer, Chief Coach were also present on the occasion.

The grand inauguration ceremony of the championship will take place on September 26, at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar. The opening ceremony shall be graced by Chief Minister of J&K, Omar Abdullah; Union Minister of Sports, Satish Sharma, along with other distinguished dignitaries.

Srinagar is set to turn into Asia's sports hub as the six-day event brings together 11 countries, 12 teams, and over 300 athletes and officials. Teams from India (A and B), Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Nepal, and Kazakhstan will be competing for top honours.
