Trump: Putin Keeps Fighting Despite Russia's Massive Losses

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) He made the remarks at a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the White House on Tuesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"I settle, as you know, seven wars [...] and I thought this [Russia's war against Ukraine] would be among the easier ones to settle. But I'm very disappointed in Putin," Trump said.

He added that despite Russia's massive losses and minimal gains on the battlefield, Putin continues to wage war.

"I'm not going to ever call anybody a paper tiger, but Russia spent millions and millions of dollars in bombs, missiles, ammunition, and lives. Their lives, and they've gained virtually no land. I think it's time to stop," Trump said.

After meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in New York earlier this week, Trump said that given Russia's current situation, Ukraine is capable of regaining all the territories seized by the aggressor state. Later, on his social media, he compared Russia to a "paper tiger."
