(MENAFN- Live Mint) Monalisa Bhosle, a 16-year-old girl from Madhya Pradesh's Khargone district who became an internet sensation during Mahakumbh 2025 have now expressed gratitude as she is all set to make her bollywood debut.

media Taking to X, she posted a video and said, "Thank you all for giving so much love and respect to a simple girl selling garlands. Today it is because of all of you that I got my first film, I can never forget this."
Monalisa rose to fame after a content creator filmed her selling rudraksha garlands at the Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. Her captivating amber eyes and bright smile quickly earned her the nickname "Mona Lisa," which sparked a wave of online attention. The video spread rapidly, turning her into a well-known face overnight. However, the sudden fame also disrupted her life, leading her to leave Mahakumbh 2025 due to overwhelming attention.

“She is getting very upset in Prayagraj. She is not able to wor . Everyone keeps following her. They come with cameras and keep talking. She is not able to sell her products," ABP quoted her grandfather, who is a resident of Maheshwar in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, as saying.
Monalisa's Bollywood debut
Monalisa Bhonsle will star in "Diary of Manipur", announced filmmaker Sanoj Mishra, who earlier directed movies such as "Ghaznavi", "Srinagar", "Shashank" and "Diary of West Bengal".
Mishra said that Bhonsle will essay the role of one of the female leads. "I met Monalisa and her family at their home. They have agreed to let Monalisa work in my film."
Though Bhonsle never acted in her life, Mishra said she has taken it as a challenge. "We will train Monalisa in acting through workshops. After this, film scenes will be shot with her in April," he said.
