Kherson Region Received More Than UAH 1.5B In International Aid In 2024


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The Kherson region received more than UAH 1.5 billion in international assistance in 2024.

Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

“Last year we managed to increase the amount of international support for Kherson region. Our region received over UAH 1.5 billion in international aid, which is 814 million more than in 2023,” Prokudin said.

He specified that UAH 800 million was allocated to provide the population with heating materials. The remaining funds were used to implement projects in various fields, including the acquisition of a Tesla Powerwall for hospitals, ambulances and equipment, agricultural machinery, fertilizers, greenhouses, assistance for repairing the irrigation system, vehicles and trucks, assistance for restoring water supply, and solar panels for critical infrastructure.

Most of the aid is co-financed by the UN, USAID, Chemonics and JICA.

As reported by Ukrinform, almost 4,900 objects, including residential buildings, schools and hospitals, have been restored in the liberated territories of the Kherson region.
