German Ambassador Hails Azerbaijan's Excellent Preparation For COP29

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. Germany thanks
Azerbaijan for its high-level preparation for COP29, the German
Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann said at an event dedicated
to the Day of German Unity, Trend reports.
"Germany has supported Azerbaijan from the very beginning as the
new COP president. We see the opportunities this opens not only for
one country but for the entire planet. I would like to thank the
Azerbaijani government for the excellent work in preparing for this
important conference and ensuring its success," he said.
The ambassador expressed hope that COP29 would contribute to the
peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
"We have high hopes that COP29 will also help establish peace in
the South Caucasus. Both countries have never been closer to
achieving a peace agreement. The sides have taken bold steps toward
peace. Germany remains committed to supporting this process," Ralph
Horelmann noted.
The diplomat added that Germany, as an EU member, is also
dedicated to deepening and strengthening bilateral relations with
Azerbaijan.
"We have addressed numerous issues throughout this year and look
forward to continuing our work in this direction in the future," he
added.
