Swiss Schwihag To Collaborate With Kyrgyz Railways


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 20. Schwihag, a Swiss company, will commence cooperation with the state-owned enterprise Kyrgyz Temir Zhol (Kyrgyz Railways), Trend reports.

The agreement was reached following meetings between Kyrgyz Ambassador to Switzerland Omar Sultanov and representatives of Schwihag. A delegation from Schwihag is expected to visit Bishkek in October 2024 to initiate their partnership.

During the meeting, Sultanov briefed the Swiss company on the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway construction project, which holds importance for all Central Asian countries.

Schwihag is a leading global manufacturer of track and switch systems, rail fastenings, and railway devices, with factories in Switzerland and Germany.

The company operates subsidiaries in multiple countries, including Australia, Brazil, China, Germany, the UK, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Tunisia, and the US.
