Azerbaijan's Central Bank Develops Guidelines For Implementation Of 'Green' Loans

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 9. The Central Bank
of Azerbaijan (CBA) has developed guidelines for implementation of
'green' loans and other related financial instruments, Leading
Economist of the CBA Sustainable Finance Department Kanan Mammadov
said, Trend
reports.
He made the remark at the "Role of small and medium businesses
in the green economy" conference in Baku today.
“This instruction is closely related to the green taxonomy, it
has already been submitted to the CBA board, and its approval is
expected in the coming weeks,” Mammadov explained.
According to him, methodological recommendations are being
developed and changes are being made to the relevant legislative
framework.
“As the market develops, further improvements are planned based
on industry notifications,” added the expert.
