President Of Kyrgyzstan Arrives In Uzbekistan


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, July 18. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has arrived in Uzbekistan on a state visit, Trend reports.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his spouse greeted them at the Tashkent International Airport.

According to the agenda, both sides will hold high-level meetings to discuss issues of further deepening Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of comprehensive strategic partnership.

The summit will be followed by the launch of a number of major joint cooperation projects and the signing of a substantial package of bilateral documents.

Meanwhile, the trade turnover volume between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan reached $294.3 million from January through May 2024. This figure indicates a 42.8 percent decrease compared to the same period last year ($420.4 million in January–May 2023).

Uzbekistan's exports to Kyrgyzstan totaled $195.3 million, while volume of imports from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan reached $99 million.
