Municipal government of Beijing issues new guidelines to enhance infrastructure

(MENAFN) The municipal government of Beijing has issued new guidelines aimed at enhancing infrastructure and services to promote the city's future-oriented industries. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to foster growth in cutting-edge sectors and position Beijing as a leader in technological innovation.
Last year, Beijing identified six key fields—information, health, manufacturing, energy, and materials—and 20 industries, including general artificial intelligence, 6G, smart travel, and quantum information, as focal points in its future-oriented industry promotion plan. These sectors and industries are seen as critical to the city's long-term economic development and technological advancement.
In line with these priorities, the city plans to upgrade existing incubation bases and establish new ones. These bases are intended to provide high-value support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and unicorn enterprises, thereby nurturing innovation and growth. According to the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the new incubation bases will be equipped with a variety of resources. These include partnerships with universities and research institutions, as well as access to finance and business management services. Such resources are designed to help enterprises recruit talent, transform scientific and technological achievements into market-ready products, develop markets, and secure investment and financing.
An official from the bureau emphasized the importance of these bases, stating that they will play a crucial role in helping enterprises navigate the challenges of growth and innovation. By providing comprehensive support, the municipal government aims to create an ecosystem that fosters technological advancement and economic prosperity in Beijing's future-oriented industries.
