There Have Been 53 Clashes In Frontline Since Beginning Of Day, Fighting Continues In Six Sectors


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Since the beginning of this day, 53 combat clashes with Russian invaders have already taken place at the front, with fighting continuing in six areas.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the armed forces of Ukraine reported on the situation as of 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, 22 June, on facebook .

Yesterday, 141 combat engagements took place at the front.

The Russians launched four missile attacks using six missiles, 62 air strikes (including 91 combat aircraft), carried out more than 3,600 attacks, including 112 from multiple launch rocket systems, and launched 1,150 kamikaze drones at Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas.

The Air Force and missile forces and artillery of the Ukrainian Defence Forces hit four places of concentration of personnel, as well as four areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, three command posts and one artillery facility.

According to the General Staff, there have been 53 combat engagements since the beginning of the day.

Russians carried out nine air strikes using nineteen combat aircraft, firing over 600 times at Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas.

In the Kupyansk sector, eight Russian attacks have taken place since the beginning of the day in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Miasozharivka and Stelmakhivka. Six attempts by the Russian army to advance were repelled by the Ukrainian Defence Forces, and two assault operations are ongoing. The situation is under control.

Moderate activity of the Russian invaders is observed in the Northern sector. So far, the enemy has attempted 13 times to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka. Seven attacks were repelled, and the fighting continues.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops continue to try to advance towards Chasiv Yar, near which a firefight is ongoing. Ukrainian defenders are holding the line in this area and are giving the aggressor a worthy fight back.

Units of the Defence Forces are holding back the enemy in the Horlivka-Toretsk area. The battle continues.

In the Pokrovske direction, Ukrainian defenders are taking measures to prevent the advance of Russian troops deep into the territory of Ukraine. There have been 21 combat engagements so far.

Russians continue to put pressure on Ukrainian positions near Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Yevhenivka, Sokol, Novoselivka Persha and Novopokrovsk. Nine attacks have been repelled, and fighting continues. The situation is under control of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.

In the Kurakhove sector, three assault attacks by Russian troops near Heorhiivka and Paraskoviivka were unsuccessful.

According to updated information, Russian troop losses in this sector over the last day amounted to more than 180 people killed and wounded, two tanks, two artillery systems and a vehicle destroyed.

In the Vremivka sector, a Russian attack near Staromayorske was unsuccessful, and another battle is ongoing near Vodiane.

In the Orikhiv sector, an assault by Russian troops near Robotyne failed. Two more firefights continue near Mala Tokmachka and Kamianske.

In other areas, the situation has not changed significantly.

As reported by Ukrinform, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi said that thanks to US military assistance, Ukrainian units have already felt a real increase in their ability to repel the Russian aggressor.
