Bomb Near KP CM's Farmhouse And Attack On PTI Leader


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) A roadside bomb exploded near the farmhouse of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sardar Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, on Dera Ismail Khan, Tank Road. The blast occurred close to the vehicles of DSP Kalachi and SHO Hathala.

The explosion targeted the elite Police force team led by DSP Kalachi, who were on their way for a search operation. The attack resulted in injuries to the driver and a constable.

Following the explosion, there was an exchange of gunfire between the police and the assailants, who ultimately managed to escape. A heavy contingent of police arrived at the scene, surrounded the area, and initiated a search operation, leading to the closure of Dera Tank Road for all traffic.

Sources reported that DSP Kalachi Circle and SHO Police Station Paniyala were present in the squad at the time of the attack. The injured were promptly shifted to DHQ Hospital. The attack caused significant damage to a police vehicle.

In a separate incident, Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ali Zaman Advocate was assaulted by unknown assailants near Eidgah Colony in Peshawar last night. He was taken to Lady Reading Hospital in an injured condition. According to the hospital administration, Ali Zaman was attacked with a sharp instrument, but his condition is now stable.

CCPO Syed Ashfaq Anwar directed the police officers and the investigation team to thoroughly investigate all aspects of the evidence found at the crime scene.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sardar Ali Amin Gandapur, along with provincial ministers Qasim Ali Shah, Zahir Shah, and Meena Khan, visited Ali Zaman and strongly condemned the attack. The Chief Minister ordered the police to swiftly arrest the culprits involved.

Provincial Minister Pakhtun Yar condemned the attack on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ali Zaman, emphasizing that dedicated party workers like him are a valuable asset. He asserted that such cowardly attacks would not demoralize PTI workers and vowed that the criminals would be brought to justice.

As of now, the FIR for the bomb attack has not been registered, but a letter has been sent to the Faqirabad police station to initiate the process.

It should be noted that Ali Zaman Advocate had contested the election from PK-73 on a PTI ticket.
