(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. The year 2024presents prospects for further increasing initiatives in the sphereof transition to a green economy in Azerbaijan, Deputy EconomyMinister Elnur Aliyev said, Trend reports.
He made the remark during a conference on the new period ofAzerbaijan's socio-economic development.
“This year, Azerbaijan will host such a prestigiousinternational event as COP29. At the same time, 2024 has beendeclared by the President of the country as the“Year of Solidarityfor a Green World”. Previous experience also shows that thesuccessful realization of such a large-scale event as COP requiresthe active participation of all members of society, especiallyentrepreneurs. The year 2024 creates opportunities to furtherincrease initiatives in the field of green economy transition. Thisis important in terms of the image of our country, increasing thecompetitiveness of entrepreneurial activity and improving itfollowing the requirements of the modern era,” he said.
