Kyrgyzstan Signs Mou With Google To Facilitate Education Transformation


(MENAFN- Trend News Agency) BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 18. Kyrgyzstan'sCabinet of Ministers and Google have signed a memorandum ofunderstanding outlining further cooperation in educationtransformation, Trend reports.

According to the cabinet, the memorandum aims to implementadvanced educational practices under the "Altyn Qazyk" ("PolarStar") program in Kyrgyzstan, which focuses on modernizing anddigitizing the educational process in schools countrywide.

"We take pride in being the first country in the region tocollaborate with Google Education and apply cutting-edge practicesin schools across Kyrgyzstan, aiding our teachers and students inacquiring the latest knowledge," said the Chairman of the Cabinetof Ministers, Akylbek Japarov, during a meeting with Google's VicePresident of Government Affairs and Public Policy, MarkIsakowitz.

Japarov emphasized that Kyrgyzstan's collaboration with Googlein education should be just the first step. Kyrgyzstan is alsoworking on cloud resource development, improving the efficiency ofgovernment services, and developing artificial intelligenceprograms.

In turn, Isakowitz noted Google's commitment to human capitaldevelopment in Kyrgyzstan and expressed a desire to support theseefforts.

Japarov also announced the upcoming launch of a pilot project: aGoogle school based in one of Bishkek's urban schools, fullyintegrating Google tools for education.
