Chad, DRC, And Rwanda Reject Reports Of Talks To Take In Displaced Palestinians From Gaza

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Officials from Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Rwanda have strongly denied having any discussions with Israel about taking in Palestinians who have been forced out of Gaza, dismissing recent Israeli media reports.

Israeli media outlets had reported that these African countries were in talks with Israel about the resettlement of Palestinians. However, each country's government issued a firm denial.

Chad's government spokesperson, in a statement, rejected the allegations made by Israeli media.

“Chad categorically denies the recent allegations... which claim that talks between Israel and Chad are taking place to take in thousands of Palestinians from Gaza,” the official said.

They stressed Chad's commitment to international law, saying that any agreement to displace people from Gaza or take part in such actions would be a violation of their rights.

In the same way, Rwanda's Foreign Ministry issued a“disinformation alert”, denying the reports. The Ministry stated that Rwanda is“not in discussion with Israel on the transfer of Palestinians from Gaza.

Also, the DRC government spokesman Patrick Muyaya called the Israeli media claims false, saying that they have no plans to take in forcibly displaced Palestinians.

These denials come amid the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, where Israel's intense military campaign has displaced a large part of Gaza's 2.3 million population.
