SBI Searches Home Of Acting Mayor Of Chernihiv


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) The State Bureau of Investigation is conducting a search at the home of the acting mayor of Chernihiv, Oleksandr Lomako.

Lomako reported this on his facebook page, Ukrinform reported.

"They are breaking into the apartment with a search. The State Bureau of Investigation. Exactly one day after my post about the attempt of the City Military Administration and its head Bryzhynsky to avoid responsibility for the tragedy in the Drama Theater," he said.

As reported, on August 19, the Russian army launched a missile attack on the Chernihiv Drama Theater. Seven people were killed and 214 were injured.

That day, an exhibition of drones was taking place in the theater. The head of the Chernihiv Military Administration, Dmytro Bryzhynsky, said in an interview with the media that he did not know about its format.

The acting mayor of Chernihiv claims that the city council did not give permission for the rally.

In February, a court suspended the mayor of Chernihiv, Vladyslav Atroshenko, from office for one year. The city council secretary, Oleksandr Lomako, is acting mayor.

On September 5, SBU investigators searched Lomak's apartment. No results were reported.
