Qatar Participates In Aimc General Secretariat's Meeting On Arab Ballistic Fingerprint Database

Doha: The State of Qatar's Ministry of Interior (MOI) participated on Tuesday in a virtual meeting of the General Secretariat of the Arab Interior Ministers' Council (AIMC) committee concerned with creating a biometric and ballistic fingerprint database.

Criminal Evidences and Information Department's Major Salman Mohammed Al Amiri and Forensic Laboratory Department's Capt. Ibrahim Rashid Al Fahida represented MOI in the meeting, which is part of the AIMC General Secretariat's annual meetings.

The attendees discussed setting up a ballistic fingerprints database and its regulation and terms of use within the scope of the AIMC General Secretariat, in accordance with the national laws of the member states and international agreements.

On Monday, the AIMC General Secretariat held a meeting of the committee to create a biometric fingerprint database within the scope of the AIMC General Secretariat.
