Investments Benefit From New Law - Saqqaf

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Minister of investment Kholoud Al Saqqaf on Saturday affirmed that Jordan has conducted a series of economic reforms that are aligned with the Economic Modernisation Vision.

The most prominent reforms have been the establishment of the Ministry of Investment as the main hub for investment activities in the country, as well as the enactment of the Public-Private Partnership Law, Investment Environment Law and related regulations.

Addressing the opening session of the 8th conference of Jordanian Expatriate Businessmen and Investors, she emphasised the ministry's commitment to the Economic Modernisation Vision 2033 to cultivate an attractive investment climate by closely monitoring investment projects, identifying investors' needs, and swiftly addressing any obstacles they may encounter.

She also praised the measures taken by the ministry to improve the investment environment, mainly the launch of the Invest in Jordan platform (invest.jo), an interactive promotional channel designed to attract investments and foster confidence in the investment climate, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The minister also highlighted the 47.6 per cent increase of investments benefiting from the Investment Environment Law during the first half of 2023, amounting to JD598 million, compared with JD405 million in the corresponding period of the previous year.
