Qatar Welcomes Completion Of Safer Oil Tanker Offloading Operation In Red Sea


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The State of Qatar welcomed the United Nations' announcement of the completion of the plan to offload crude oil from the FSO Safer tanker off the coast of Yemen on the Red Sea.
In a statement Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's appreciation for the efforts of the United Nations and international partners in addressing one of the most pressing environmental issues by preventing oil spillage from the tanker in the waters of the Red Sea.
The Ministry expressed the State of Qatar's pride in its contribution to supporting the rescue operations coordinated by the United Nations to prevent the catastrophic spill. It also affirms its full readiness to support all international efforts aimed at building a safer and more sustainable future for all.
