America works on newly developed “cancer-killing” medication

(MENAFN) A newly developed "cancer-killing" medication was purportedly witnessed "annihilating" solid tumors in early trials, whereas healthy pills were unaffected.

The new medicine, that has been under research for more than twenty years, is presently in pre-clinical testing in the United States.

AOH1996, a cancer-curing medication, targets a malignant form of a protein known as the proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA).

When PCNA is altered, it becomes "critical" in the replication of DNA and the healing of all "expanding tumors."

City of Hope, one of America's top cancer study and therapy organizations, is working on AOH1996.

“PCNA is like a major airline terminal hub containing multiple plane gates,” explained Professor Linda Malkas, who has been working on the medicine.

According to studies, PCNA is particularly changed in cancer cells, and this information was critical in creating a medication that targeted just the kind of PCNA in cancerous cells.

“Our cancer-killing pill is like a snowstorm that closes a key airline hub, shutting down all flights in and out only in planes carrying cancer cells.”
