Jordan's Jsta, Tunisia's Ftav Sign Mou To Stimulate Joint Tourism

amman, june 21 (petra)--jordan society of tourism and travel agents (jsta) and tunisian association of travel agents (ftav) on wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (mou), aimed at stimulating mutual tourism trafiic and working to reduce air fares by resorting to low-cost airlines, to stimulate pace of joint tourism activity.
the memo was signed by jsta chairman, suhail helsa, and head of the delegation and representative of tunisian tourism companies, omar riahi.
helsa, in a statement, said the memo is a "positive" step that contributes to encouraging tourism between the two countries and supporting their economic and social relations.
helsa also noted the memo aims to coordinate regular flights to jordan via low-cost flights, pointing to importance of tunisia's geographical location and its tourism and natural diversity.
meanwhile, riahi said tunisia is looking forward to launching stronger cooperation in the tourism sector in all its fields by concluding more joint partnerships, which would mark a new boost in the world of arab and international tourism.
for his part, director general of tunisia's international cooperation department, mona mathlouthi, said her country is keen to enhance cooperation between the two countries and achieve the "highest" levels to realize a "bright" arab experience in the tourism field.
