Zarqa University Signs Mous With Malaysian Counterparts

(MENAFN- Jordan Times) AMMAN - Zarqa University is increasing its visibility in Malaysia by signing multiple Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with higher education institutions in the country.

The agreements, along with a productive meeting with Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) officials, mark a significant step in increasing Zarqa University's visibility and strengthening its ties within the Malaysian educational landscape, according to a statement from the Malaysian Embassy in Amman.

Through the MoUs with the country's top universities - The National University of Malaysia and Universiti Malaysia Kelantan - in addition to several other institutions, Zarqa University has expanded its network of academic allies in Malaysia.

The partnerships aim to facilitate student and faculty exchange programmes, joint research initiatives and curriculum development projects, promoting knowledge-sharing and cultural exchange between Jordan and Malaysia, said Vice President of Zarqa University, Nidal Eshah.

The recent meeting between Zarqa University officials and Malaysian KPT officials resulted in fruitful discussions that emphasised the importance of international collaboration in higher education. The meeting provided a platform for both parties to explore potential areas of cooperation and discuss strategies to further enhance academic partnerships between the two countries.

The Ambassador of Malaysia to Jordan, Mohammad Nasri Abdul Rahman, said that Malaysia welcomes any internationalisation initiatives from public and private institutions in Jordan so that students from both countries are well-prepared for an interconnected global society.

Minister Councellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Amman, Radzuwan Ab Rashid, said that Education Malaysia Jordan's (EMJ) commitment to supporting such initiatives is driven by its vision of creating a robust international education network that benefits students and institutions from both countries. EMJ continues to serve as a facilitator, connecting Jordanian higher education institutions with their Malaysian counterparts and providing assistance in navigating the complexities of international collaboration.
