EU Pres. Discusses Climate Change With COP28 President-Designate Sultan Al-Jaber


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, June 7 (KUNA) - The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, met with the COP28 President-designate Sultan Al-Jaber of the UAE in Brussels Wednesday and discussed climate change issues.
"It will take more than a green bullet to solve climate change. COP28 must transform and turbocharge our global action," Michel said on his twitter message after the meeting.
"With President Sultan Al-Jaber, we discussed, phasing-out fossil fuels, clear targets and incentives for renewables and making our green transition fair," he added.
Dr. Sultan al Jaber is COP28 President-Designate and UAE's Special Envoy for Climate Change.
COP28 is the 28th session of the UN Climate Change Conference. COP is held every year to discuss and find solutions for climate change.
COP28 will be held in the UAE at Dubai Expo City from November 30 to December 12 this year. (end)
