Doha: Naseem Medical Centre's C Ring branch hosted the launch of Mind Matters, a new publication by Dr. Anees Ali, a distinguished psychiatrist. The book has been translated into English and Arabic by renowned author and translator Hussain Abdu.
The event was graced by eminent healthcare professionals and distinguished guests, among whom were Dr. Muna Al Muslamani, Head of Communicable disease Centre at Hamad Medical Corporation; Dr. Amal Salman Al Ubaidali, Head of Nursing Department; Aysha Hamam Al Jasim, Head of Radiology Nursing Department; and Jamal Fayiz Al Saeed, Advisor to the Ministry of Culture, who unveiled the book in both English and Arabic.
Mind Matters is a comprehensive guide to mental health that offers expert insights and practical guidance for anyone seeking to improve their mental well-being or support someone facing mental health challenges. Dr. Ali draws from his vast experience in treating patients with a wide range of mental health issues to provide guidance on topics spanning from anxiety and depression to bipolar disorder and schizophrenia.
During his speech, Dr. Ali emphasised the paramount importance of mental health in today's society and the need for greater awareness and understanding of mental health issues. He also highlighted the pivotal role played by Naseem Medical Centre's Psychiatry Department in providing high-quality care to patients across the region.
Moreover, Dr. Munir Ali Ibrahim, the GM-Strategy at Naseem Medical Centre, spoke during the launch about the institution's unwavering commitment to mental health awareness and the provision of exceptional care to patients. He underscored the importance of mental health in overall wellness and the Psychiatry Department's dedication to delivering the highest quality of care to patients with mental health disorders.
“The launch of Mind Matters and its Arabic version Annafsu tuhimmuna signifies a significant milestone for Naseem Medical Centre's Psychiatry Department, highlighting the institution's commitment to mental health awareness and the provision of accessible, high-quality care to patients,” he added.
Translator Hussain Abdu introduced both Arabic and English versions.
