Sheikha Mayassa Wishes 'Long And Successful Reign' To King Charles
(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Peninsula online Doha: Chairperson of Qatar Museums, HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani shared a video along with pictures from present and past as she wished a successful reign to King Charles III, who was officially crowned king today after Queen Elizabeth II's death in September.
Reminiscing about King Charles's support for the preservation of Islamic art and culture, Sheikha Mayassa wrote, "Over the years King Charles has supported the preservation of Islamic art and culture, the craftsmanship of artisans and advocated for the preservation of history through arts and architecture."
She added that His Majesty was the first visitor to the Museum of Islamic Art, visiting a few weeks before the official opening in November 2008.
Sheikha Mayassa further wrote, "Wishing Their Majesties, the people of Great Britain and the Commonwealth a long and successful reign."
