Foreign Ministry Begins Evacuating Palestinians From Sudan After Sudan's Sudden Slide Into Fighting

The ministry of foreign affairs and expatriates affirmed that the first convoy of 85 Palestinians has left the Sudanese capital heading toward Port Sudan, a port city in eastern Sudan, for evacuation, after Sudan's sudden slide into conflict between the army and a paramilitary group called Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

The ministry, in a statement, said that other convoys carrying around 259 Palestinians has also taken off toward the borders with Egypt for evacuation.

This came at the instructions of foreign minister, Reyad al-Malki, with joint efforts from the Palestinian military intelligence, the general intelligence service, partner institutions and ministries, and our embassies in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan.
