Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) lifted the precautionary measures imposed on travelers coming from China, Hong Kong and Macau. This decision will take effect from Saturday, April 1, 2023.

Accordingly, the MoPH stated that presenting a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test certificate for Covid-19 with a negative result before travel is not a required procedure.

This decision comes after the significant decrease in cases of infection with the Covid-19 virus and the stability of the health situation in the region and in all countries of the world.

The Ministry noted that the cancellation of the precautionary measures imposed on travelers coming from the aforementioned countries is an end to all travel restrictions that had been applied in the State of Qatar during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Ministry of Health encourages community members to follow preventive measures and follow up on local and international updates, in order to stay abreast of any changes that may occur in this regard.
