Tennis Tournament Brings Together Indonesian Workers From Across Qatar

Doha: Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar, H E Ridwan Hassan inaugurated a tennis tournament for Indonesian nationals working in Qatar recently.

Indonesian Lawn Tennis Association in Qatar, together with the Indonesian Embassy in Qatar, supported by Indonesian Labor Ministry, Bank Central Asia, and Pearl of Beirut Restaurant, held the tournament with the theme:“Tennis Tournament Indonesian Migrant Workers - Ambassador Cup 2023”.

This is the 10th edition of tennis tournament which is held every year. This year's competition is particularly special as it is held in the same year with the Qatar-Indonesia 2023 Year of Culture.

A grand total of 26 players coming from different regions such as Al Khor, Messaieed, Al Wakra, and Doha gathered round in the Hamilton Indoor tennis court to participate in various intense tennis matches competing for the trophy.

Resonating the theme, the main purpose of the tournament was to strengthen the bonds between the community of the Indonesian tennis players in Qatar and campaigning a healthy lifestyle.
