Ukraine Exports Over 35.8M T Of Grain, Leguminous Crops


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In 2022/2023 marketing year (MY), Ukraine exported 35.810 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops. In March, the country exported 3.513 million tonnes of these crops.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the ministry of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine (MAPF) with reference to the State Customs Service.

It is noted that since the beginning of 2022/2023 MY (from July 2022 to March 20, 2023), Ukraine has exported 12.285 million tonnes of wheat (18.399 million tonnes in 2021/2022 MY), 2.229 million tonnes of barley (5.641 million tonnes in 2021/2022 MY), 16,800 tonnes of rye (161,900 tonnes in 2021/2022 MY), and 20.981 million tonnes of corn (20.348 million tonnes in 2021/2022 MY).

In March 2023, the country exported 977,000 tonnes of wheat, 179,000 tonnes of barley, 1,000 tonnes of rye, and 2.377 million tonnes of corn. In total, 3.513 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops were exported in March.

In addition, Ukraine shipped 145,300 tonnes of flour for export. Of these, 13,500 tonnes were exported in March.

As reported, according to the MAPF, in January-February 2023, Ukraine exported more than 11.8 million tonnes of agricultural products. Of these, more than 5.7 million tonnes of corn, 2.8 million tonnes of wheat, and 416,000 tonnes of barley were exported.
