NEW DELHI, March 9 (KUNA) -- The Rann of Kutch, one of the largest salt marshes in the world, located mostly in India's Gujarat state in the Kutch district, with some parts extending into the Pakistani province of Sindh.
The region is divided into the Great Rann, which covers around 18,000 square kilometers, and Little Rann covering around 5,100 square kilometers and is known to be bone-dry all winter, then totally flooded in the summer because of heavy rainfall.
The Kutch district is inhabited by various groups and is particularly famous for its arts and crafts. (end) atk.ahm
