The third iteration of the Masfout Trail Run 2023 was successfully completed by the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, with significant participation from experts, amateurs, and enthusiasts. With this event, the emirate further solidifies its position as a premier tourism destination capable of planning and staging such alluring events.
Athletes of all ages and genders raced in this event, which began at the Masfout Museum and traveled over a distance of 8 KM through breathtaking scenery in one of Ajman's most mountainous places. The Emirati category and the open category were segregated.
The trails were thoughtfully created to offer participants a special experience as they go through various sorts of beautiful environment, valleys, and farms while discovering important landmarks and historical places across Masfout.
The event's attendees expressed their gratitude to the Ajman Department of Tourism Development for planning such well-known social gatherings that inspire the entire neighborhood to mingle, embrace an active lifestyle, and raise awareness of the value of sports in preserving a healthy mind and body.
Masfout is regarded as Ajman's hidden gem and is well-known among locals for its high altitude in comparison to other nearby areas, its rocky mountains, and its mesmerizing scenery that is ideal for picnics and family gatherings. It is also seen as an ideal destination for joggers, runners, and nature lovers. Additionally, it has a prime location that is easily reached from many different ways.
This race is one of several significant sporting occasions that Ajman Tourism has put together to highlight the emirate's natural beauty that makes it ideal for sports tourism and to highlight its status as a top domestic and international travel destination.
“The Masfout Trail Run affirms Ajman Tourism's responsibility to promote all of the emirate's touristic destinations, and introduce their cultural and entertainment advantages to its visitors in order to improve all the vital sectors”, Alhashmi added.
The National Emergency Response Volunteer Programme – SANID, the Nabdh Al Emarat Volunteering Team, Infinity Gym, the Saudi-German Hospital as Gold Sponsor, Gulfa Water as Hydration Sponsor, Ajman Police, the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, and Endurance Sports Services collaborated to organize the Masfout Trail Run.
