Doha: The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs on Wednesday announced opening the registration for the nineth edition of the Young Muhadeth (Public Speaker) contest, organized by the Ministry's General Directorate of Endowments under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education.
Participation registration forms can be downloaded from the new website of the contest as of Wednesday, the Ministry of Awqaf said pointing that the last date for registration is March 2.
The General Directorate of Endowments has allocated valuable financial prizes for the winners, it added.
The contest comes within the Quran and Sunnah servicing fund, said the Director of the General Directorate of Endowments H E Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed Al Thani at a press conference, adding that it targets all male and female students in the Schools of Qatar.
He explained that the contest in this edition has become completely electronic. A new category will be added this year for the students with special needs he added.
