Russians Strike Bakhmut With MLRS, Killing One Civilian And Injuring Four


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In Donetsk region, one civilian was killed and four more were injured, including two State Emergency Service rescuers, in Russian shelling of Bakhmut town and the district.

'The occupation forces continue to destroy Donetsk region. An investigation has been launched into the facts of repeated shelling of Bakhmut... As a result of the shelling, a 55-year-old man was killed. Four more citizens, including two employees of the State Emergency Service, who were performing their official duties, received shrapnel injuries,' the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office posted on facebook .

According to the investigation data, on January 27, 2023, the Russian occupation forces struck the towns of Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, and the village of Paraskoviivka, Bakhmut district, with multiple launch rocket systems.

Due to the powerful attacks of the occupiers, windows, panes, doors, and balconies were broken in apartment blocks. Private houses, vehicles, and other objects were also damaged and destroyed.

'Under the procedural leadership of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, pre-trial investigations are carried out into violations of the laws and customs of war (Parts 1, 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),' the prosecutor's office stated.

It is noted that prosecutors continue to take all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by the Russian armed forces.

Pre-trial investigations are ongoing.

As reported, the Donetsk region is under constant Russian fire. The invaders kill and injure civilians every day.
