(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- At least one fan died and 60 others were injured due to a stampede around the Basra International Stadium, hours before the final of the 25th Arab Gulf Cup, said Iraqi news agency Thursday.
The agency noted that most of the injuries were minor.
Since yesterday evening, thousands of Iraqis flocked to Basra to attend the final match of the 25th Arab Gulf Cup. (end)
