UAE Embassy In Kuwait Celebrates 51St Nat'l Day

KUWAIT, Dec 2 (KUNA) -- The UAE Embassy in Kuwait marked Friday the country's 51st National Day within a festival under the auspices of, and in the presence of, Ambassador Matar Al-Neyadi and the embassy staff.
Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of the festival, Al-Neyadi said the UAE celebrates on December 2 its National Day, adding 'our country's journey has moved towards progress and development through bright years full of achievements, with a clear vision towards the future, and drawing its first features and laying its foundations'.
This was done by the late founder of the State Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the State continued this approach during the reign of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, he added.
Al Neyadi stated that the country is moving ahead with steady steps towards a future full of renaissance and leadership, under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the rulers of the the UAE.
Meanwhile, Omar Abu Hamad, head of the Kuwaiti team participating in the festival, told KUNA that there are 150 kites decorated with the UAE's flags took part in the event.
He said that all participating kites were designed by the team and each one reflects the Kuwaiti identity, and that the used kites range in size from three meters to 50 meters decorated with Gulf national flags.
He pointed out that the design of the kite is carried out through stages by making an experimental model to ensure its safety, followed by the stage of production and implementation of the final kite through a special electronic program that takes into account the quality and durability of the kite and its tolerance to weather changes and wind direction.
In addition, head of Mopar international team for classic cars, Adel Al-Ansari, said that they participated in the event by displaying a special show of classic cars totaling 100. The show includes some types of old cars like US, European and Germany ones, he said. (end) mf.hm
