Kuwait FM Meets European Commission Vice Pres.

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 15 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Foreign Minister sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met Tuesday visiting Vice President of the European Commission Margaritis Schinas.
During the meeting, they reviewed the deep-rooted relations and high-level coordination between Kuwait and the EU, mainly on the file of exempting Kuwaitis from Schengen visa.
The Kuwaiti minister renewed the government's appreciation to the Commission for placing Kuwait on the Schengen visa exemption list.
He stressed the importance of taking this move, considering it a strong indicator of the depth of strategic relation and partnership between Kuwait and the EU.
Meanwhile, Schinas commended the big efforts made by Kuwait's Foreign Ministry and its diplomatic mission to the EU on exempting Kuwaitis from Schengen visa.
He assured that the European Commission pays much attention to this file.
The two sides also discussed some regional and international issues, and developments in the region. (end)
