São Paulo – The Brazilian Coffee Week will run in the United Arab Emirates from Monday (17) to October 25. Aimed to promote business opportunities in the export of coffee from Brazil to Arab countries, the B2B roadshow will go to various chambers of commerce across the UAE with presentations on the history and importance of coffee for the Brazilian economy and trade.

The event is organized by the Embassy of Brazil in Abu Dhabi, in collaboration with the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC), and led by ambassador Eliana Zugaib, the chargé d'affaires of the Embassy of Brazil to the UAE, and Rafael Solimeo, director & head of ABCC Dubai Office. The event will see the participation of leading suppliers such as Pantanal General Trading, DUcoffee, Nares Group, Anorka Food Industries L.L.C, Gostoso Coffee, and Tresmarias Coffee.

Here's more on this:

The roadshows will be held across various locations every day starting from the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 17, DMCC Coffee Centre on October 18, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 19, Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 20, Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry on October 24, and Fujairah Chamber of Commerce & Industry on October 25.

Zugaib said this will be an excellent opportunity to share Brazil's expertise and the quality of Brazilian coffee.“Being the world's largest producer and exporter of coffee, as well as the second-largest consumer market, I am sure we can foster even more partnerships and business opportunities between entrepreneurs of the two countries,” she was quoted as saying in a statement.

ABCC president Osmar Chohfi stressed the growing demand for coffee in the Arab world, owing to its large population. He believes the Brazilian coffee industry could leverage these numbers and offer unique specialty coffee beverages.“The Brazilian Coffee Week is an ideal platform to showcase the uniqueness and quality of the products to explore further business opportunities within the region,” Chohfi was quoted as saying.

The Arab market accounted for 1.8% of Brazilian coffee exports from January to September this year, according to data from the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council (Cecafé). Brazilians shipped 529,700 60-kg coffee bags for USD 134.4 million year to the Arab market year to date.
